I have always turned to books for comfort throughout my life. Among the pages, I have found characters who were just like me, who struggled and overcame. Among the pages, I have found words to describe my feelings and experiences that no one else could ever understand.

But that book understood. And that book provided the comfort I needed. That book made me feel seen, valued, and understood.

That's why I write. To create stories for readers who need that moment of comfort. For readers who are seeking something among the pages - a reconciliation, a triumph, a heartbreak, or a happily ever after. For readers who seek to be seen, valued, and understood.

That's why I'm making this pledge.
